Hosting and technical logs
The website is hosted and delivered through Vercel Inc. Vercel may process limited technical information, such as IP address, browser information, requested URL and request time, to deliver the website, maintain security and diagnose faults.
The contact form uses Vercel BotID Basic to check that submissions come from a browser rather than an automated spam tool. This security check uses technical browser and request information. It is not used for advertising or audience analytics. You can also contact us directly by email.
This processing is based on our legitimate interest in operating a secure and reliable website. Retention depends on the type of technical record, the provider’s service settings and any need to investigate a security incident or meet a legal obligation. Contact us for information about the retention applicable to a particular request.
When you contact us
If you contact us by email or through the contact form, we process the information you provide — such as your name, contact details, organisation and correspondence — so that we can answer your enquiry and manage the relevant business relationship.
The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement, where relevant, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and maintaining professional relationships. We assess retention based on whether an enquiry is still active, whether the correspondence is needed for an ongoing business relationship, and any applicable contractual, accounting or legal obligations. Information that is no longer needed for these purposes should be deleted.
Email is provided through Microsoft 365. When you email us, Microsoft may process the message and related technical information on our behalf.
When online submission is available, the contact form sends your name, email address, optional company name, selected topic and message through our hosting service and Resend to the relevant 7 Vikings email address. Procurement enquiries go to procurement@7vikings.no; other enquiries go to post@7vikings.no. We do not add you to a marketing list or save a separate copy in a website database. Our email providers process and retain messages and delivery records under their service settings.
Service providers and transfers
We use Vercel for hosting and content delivery, Microsoft 365 for email, and Resend for delivery of contact-form enquiries when online sending is enabled. Google provides optional website analytics when you consent. Analytics receives page paths and contact-action categories, rather than enquiry contents, names or email addresses. URL query strings and fragments are excluded from measured page URLs. An email or phone click does not confirm that a message was sent or a call completed. These providers may process information outside the EEA. They may only process information under contractual safeguards. Where required, transfers are protected by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and supplementary security measures.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, restrict or object to processing, and receive certain information in a portable format.
Contact post@7vikings.no to exercise your rights. You may also lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet.
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice if the website or our processing changes. Optional cookies, analytics or similar technology will not be activated before any consent required by law has been obtained.
